Neuro-biofeedback

When concentrating effectively the brain produces specific brain-wave patterns. Neuro-biofeedback uses non-intrusive brain-wave monitoring technology (often in the form of computer games) to reward a child producing the brain waves patterns associated with high levels of concentration.

Put simply, Neuro-biofeedback rewards children paying appropriate attention by allowing them to achieve success in a computer based task. Whilst this involves attaching sensors to their skull, these sensors simply monitor brain activity and do not interfere with it. Therefore there are no adverse side effects. Neuro-biofeedback proponents claim children benefit by practising concentrating and thereby strengthening neural pathways.
