Meditation & Relaxation Techniques

With the daily challenges that children with learning and behavioural difficulties face it can be beneficial, especially during times of stress, for them to learn relaxation and self-comforting techniques.

There are a wide range of relaxation techniques that can be used including various forms of meditation, aerobic exercise (e.g. swimming) and visualisation. Physical relaxation techniques in particular, such as playing with pets or taking a walk, are considered to be especially helpful for hyperactive children.
